Sports Betting Online – Do You Know How To Read The Odds?

Even WWE fans like to bet on sports every once in a while, but they may have trouble reading the odds if they are new to the wagering game, and here is a quick lesson in understanding the odds and lines across the sports betting industry.

There are a few ways to read odds, and the first thing you should do is identify what type of style you are seeing in a sportsbook. There is the money line (known as the American method), fractional odds and decimal odds (which are used mostly in Europe). The money line should be your focus, and most players that buy pay per head services will tell you that it isn’t as complicated as many make it out to be.

Using an example from the NFL, you may see that New Orleans is favored by 10.5 points to defeat Detroit at home, and it would read something like:

New Orleans (-200)

Detroit (+180)

A minus sign will always denote the favorite, and a positive sign shows the underdog. This means that a bet on the Saints would cost $200 to win $100, as the favorite, but $100 on Detroit would make you +180. This can entice you to wager on the underdog, but be careful, because they are underdogs (and favorites) for a reason.

It’s that simple, and it’s one of the easier ways to wager in this industry, so sign up for your account and start making your sport betting online picks.
