3 College Football Best Bets For Week 1

NCAA football betting kicked off earlier this week in anticipation for the start of the season this coming Saturday. For fans new to college football betting, here are three games you want to keep your eye on.

  • Washington Huskies vs. BYU Cougars – The Washington Huskies have gone from a cellar dweller in the Pac 10 to a middle of the pack team. The Cougars have a lot of questions surrounding them, as they deal with a two quarterback system. Look for the BYU defense to keep them in the game, but the Huskies to win the game outright.
  • Washington State vs. Oklahoma State – Washington State is in a completely different position than their co state occupants Washington. State essentially is the Detroit Lions of the BCS. For years fans have made a ton of money betting against Washington State. This year should be no different. Oklahoma State has made some minor adjustments, but expect them to win by at least four touchdowns when they face Washington State. 90 percent of the money wagered on the game is towards Oklahoma State, stick with the public on this one.
  • LSU vs. UNC – This game is rather tricky to predict, but we are going to stick with the Tar Heels. The Tar Heels have six of seven All Americans on the defensive side of things. However, there is a possibility that three of the six defensive players may be suspended for the first game due to misconduct. Nevertheless, LSU is a rather overrated team, their offense is garbage and the only thing they have going for them is their linebackers. As a result we feel the safest bet regardless of who is in the Tar Heel line up, is to stick with the Tar Heels.

Also known as a parlay bet, a teaser bet is a wager placed on a group of games, which requires all of the games to win in order for you to receive a payout. Also known as an accumulator, a parlay bet is a teaser bet. Could This Be The Best NBA Free Agent Class In History?

Annually July 1st is the biggest day in all of professional sports, as teams in the NBA and NHL are able to sign the best players looking for new contracts. NBA betting enthusiasts second favorite time of the year kicks off in the heart of summer, and this year could be the best free agent class in history.

This year's free agent class is as big as the 2004 draft class, as superstars from that draft, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh each are eligible to sign with a new franchise in hopes of capturing the elusive NBA title. After each player's current clubs the Cavaliers, Heat and Raptors had disappointing results this past season, all three superstars appear to be wanting a fresh start elsewhere.

Further all three players are represented by the same agency and many fans betting on where the trio will land suspect, two if not all three may play together for one lucky team. Two teams reported to have the money for at least two of the three are the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls. Of the two, the Knicks have the advantage financially as they were able to clear enough cap space to acquire two key off season additions. Fans should know that experts predict that if money is the main factor in James, Wade or Bosh leaving their current teams, the Knicks are the most lucrative option. Conversely, experts believe that if Lebron James leaves the Cavaliers he will end up in Chicago in hopes of helping the Bulls win a championship for the first time since James's idol and hall of famer Michael Jordan did so in 1998. Experts also believe that where James goes, so will Bosh and possibly Wade.
